Remodeling three different bathrooms in this home gave the opportunity to play with accents in three different ways. The master bath has an open concept with accents in the blue pendent lights above the vanity and in the blue accent tiles in the niche of the shower. In the guest bath the homeowners wanted to play with patterns. The shower is made with tile in a herringbone pattern and has a vertical niche made with small, vibrant blue tiles. Not all accents have to be made with color. In the son’s bath, which is neutral grey, we used accents in the shower’s subway tile. By placing white tiles in a random pattern the shower becomes a focal point that makes the space unique and gives a fun pop.
